Parent workshops and informational meetings

This section shares upcoming parent workshops and informational meetings designed to support families of children in ESE. These events are hosted by schools, districts, and community organizations and cover important topics such as understanding the IEP process, behavior supports, and strategies for reading and math. This page is here to help you easily find opportunities to learn, ask questions, and feel more confident supporting your child.

Family engagement and community events

This section highlights fun, inclusive events for families of children in ESE to enjoy together while building connections within the community. These events are not only about having fun—they also provide opportunities for children to build confidence, develop social skills, and feel a sense of belonging.

Families can explore events such as local community gatherings, inclusive sports programs, family nights, and special experiences like cruises or recreational outings designed for children with diverse needs.

In the Panhandle area, families may also find opportunities to participate in local events like inclusive races, sports leagues, and community programs that are designed specifically for children with special needs and their families.

The goal of this page is to help families discover opportunities to connect, have fun, and create meaningful experiences together. These events remind families that they are part of a supportive community and that their children have many opportunities to grow, participate, and thrive outside of the classroom.
